Welcome to Isle of Wight Salsa
Note that on 25th February we will be at Bar 74, Union Street, Ryde, PO33 2LN, and not at the Methodist Church Hall.
Salsa is the ultimate partner dance! Great clubs, great people, and great music. It’s exciting, inspiring, and creative.
Isle of Wight Salsa is run by dancers for dancers (and potential dancers). Everyone is welcome, and we have regulary been told what a friendly atmsophere there is here.
Classes are currently held in the main hall of Ryde Methodist Church, Garfield Road, Ryde every Tuesday night (see details on this page). Our current six week course for beginners started on 14th January 2020, but you can still join it on 21st January. Our next course starts on 3rd March.
You don’t need to come along with a partner as we quickly rotate dance partners giving everyone an opportunity to dance.
If you already dance, but want another occasion on which to dance; if you’ve not yet tried Salsa but think you might like to; or if you tried already, but didn’t take to it, then come along to Isle of Wight Salsa and see what we are all about.
Isle of Wight Salsa was reformed in 2012 by a group of established salsa dancers on the Isle of Wight, with the aim of giving everyone more opportunities to dance salsa on the Island. We are a friendly club, with individuals at all levels of experience. We are non-profit making, so any surpluses are ploughed back into the club for special events, and to bring guest teachers over from the mainland.
